Semi Truck Overturns on Highway N in St. Francois County, Driver Seriously Injured

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 65-year-old man from Festus suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after a semi truck crash on Highway N in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. on May 13 on Missouri Highway N north of Highway NN.

The Patrol reports the driver was operating a 2025 Freightliner tractor-trailer southbound when the vehicle’s towed unit traveled off the right side of the roadway. Investigators say the incident caused both the truck and the towed unit to overturn.

The driver suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.

According to the report, the driver was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The vehicle was listed as totaled and was removed from the scene.
