Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - September is recognized as Suicide Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and offering support to those in need.
Vice President of the St. Francois County Mental Health Board, Whitney Shumway, says there are some great resources available for those struggling.
One of the most important tools is Missouri 988, the state’s suicide and crisis lifeline, where callers are connected with trained professionals who can provide immediate help and guidance.
