Serious Injury Reported in US-67 Crash at Papin Road

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A serious injury was reported following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on southbound U.S. Highway 67 at Papin Road in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 1:42 p.m. A 2017 Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 47-year-old man from De Soto, was traveling southbound in the left lane of U.S. 67 when a 2015 Honda Civic, driven by a 73-year-old woman from De Soto, pulled forward from Papin Road. Troopers say the Honda traveled across the southbound lanes and into the path of the Toyota. The crash occurred when the front of the Toyota struck the left side of the Honda.

The driver of the Honda suffered serious injuries and was transported by ARCH Air Medical Services to Mercy Hospital South. The driver of the Toyota was not reported injured.

Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene
