Shared Blessings Launches Fundraising Campaign

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - Shared Blessings in Bonne Terre is asking for the community's help as it works toward constructing a new building on recently purchased property outside the Bonne Terre city limits.

Executive Director Shelly Bess says the organization has already secured the property and is excited about what the new location will mean for the future of Shared Blessings.

According to Bess, the new facility will bring major improvements and allow Shared Blessings to better serve the people who rely on its services.

To help meet current operating costs while moving toward its long-term goal of building the new facility, Shared Blessings is conducting a $10,000 matching grant campaign.

Bess says the organization's monthly operating expenses total between $5,000 and $6,000, covering costs such as utilities, insurance and overnight shift salaries.

As of Monday, the fundraising effort had reached $8,525.
