Sheriff’s Department Launches First “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Enforcement Project

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff's Department has completed its first Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Impaired Driving Project, conducted in partnership with the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Highway Traffic Safety division.

Sheriff Jeff Crites says the initiative marks a strong beginning for the department’s expanded impaired driving enforcement efforts.

The first enforcement block was held on November 26, 2025, with deputies focusing on identifying impaired drivers and promoting safer roadways across the county.

More enforcement periods are expected as the Sheriff’s Department continues participating in the statewide traffic safety program.
