Six Flags to Sell St. Louis Park as Part of Major Portfolio Changes

Eureka, Mo. (KFMO) - Six Flags Entertainment announced plans to sell seven amusement parks across North America, including Six Flags St. Louis, as part of a move expected to generate about $260 million in net revenue.

According to the company, the parks will be sold to EPR Properties for a total cash consideration of about $331 million. EPR will partner with Enchanted Parks to operate six parks in the United States and one in Montreal.

Despite the change in ownership, visitors should not see immediate changes to operations.

Six Flags officials say the parks involved in the transaction will continue their normal operating schedules, and season passes will still be recognized throughout the 2026 season.

Among the parks included in the sale is Six Flags St. Louis, a popular regional attraction located near St. Louis. The park features dozens of rides and attractions, including the Dark Knight roller coaster and several DC Comics-themed rides.

Also included in the sale are Valleyfair near Minneapolis and Worlds of Fun in Kansas City.

The announcement comes about four months after Six Flags permanently closed Six Flags America and its adjacent water park in Maryland in November.

Following the sale, the company says it will continue operating its remaining collection of 34 amusement parks across 23 locations throughout North America during the 2026 season.
