St. Francois County Clerk Pleased with August Primary Turnout, Looks Ahead to November Election

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County Clerk Kevin Engler says he is encouraged by voter participation in Tuesday's August Primary Election after more than 10,000 residents cast ballots across the county.

According to unofficial election totals, 10,771 ballots were cast out of 40,993 registered voters, representing approximately 26.3 percent voter turnout.

Engler says he is pleased with the turnout.

While turnout in primary elections is often lower than during general elections, Engler is encouraging residents to continue making their voices heard by participating in future elections.

Engler also praised election judges, poll workers and his staff, saying the voting process went smoothly throughout St. Francois County.

The next opportunity for voters to head to the polls will be the Missouri General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
