St. Francois County Joint Communications Reports Over 22,000 Calls in October

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County Joint Communications has released its monthly call summary for October, showing another busy month for local dispatchers and emergency responders.

According to the report, there were 16,012 total calls for service across all agencies throughout the county. Dispatchers also handled 4,101 calls to 911 and 18,281 administrative calls, including both incoming and outgoing communications. That brought the total number of phone calls of all types to 22,410 for the month. In addition to call handling, dispatch staff entered 419 warrants and cleared 568 warrants during October. As of Monday, November 3, there were 9,657 active warrants listed in the county’s system.

Officials say the continued high call volume highlights the vital role of Joint Communications in coordinating emergency response and public safety across St. Francois County.
