St. Francois County Justice Center Renovations Continue in Downtown Farmington

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Renovation work is continuing on the new St. Francois County Justice Center in downtown Farmington.

The future Justice Center is being developed inside the former U.S. Bank building. County officials say several upgrades are needed as part of the renovation work, including improvements to make the building’s entrance ADA accessible and the addition of a new door for an entryway.

St. Francois County recently announced that The Interlocal Purchasing System, also known as TIPS, will assist with the project. Presiding Commissioner Harold Gallaher says that partnership will help move the renovation work forward as the county continues updating the building for public use.

He says the work will help prepare the building for its future use.

When completed, the Justice Center will eventually house the St. Francois County Sheriff’s administrative offices, along with a courtroom.

County officials expect renovation work to continue over the next several months before the new facility is ready for use.
