St. Francois County Road Crews Prepare for Weekend Winter Weather

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - St. Francois County Road Department crews have been out pretreating county roadways ahead of this weekend’s expected winter weather.

Presiding Commissioner Harold Gallaher says crews are prepared and will be working in full force once snow begins to fall. He also addressed rumors circulating in the community about the county’s winter weather response.

Gallaher says the county’s snowplow trucks are ready to roll and crews will focus first on keeping primary routes open and passable. Once those main roadways are cleared, attention will then turn to secondary roads across the county.

County officials remind motorists to use caution when traveling during winter weather and to give road crews plenty of room to work.
