St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department Adds Two New Deputies to Patrol Division

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department has announced the addition of two new deputies to its Patrol Division.

Deputy Aaron Brown recently graduated from the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Academy and has transferred from the Sheriff’s Department Detention Center to patrol duties. Brown has served with the department since 2025 as a detention officer. Officials say he successfully completed the academy while continuing to fulfill his full-time responsibilities in the detention division, demonstrating strong dedication and work ethic.

Also joining the Patrol Division is Deputy Derek Bainbridge, who previously served with the Park Hills Police Department for three and a half years. Bainbridge is a 2022 graduate of the Mineral Area Law Enforcement Academy and brings approximately four years of law enforcement experience to the Sheriff’s Department.

Department leaders say both deputies will play an important role in supporting patrol operations and enhancing public safety across St. Francois County.
