Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 59-year-old Ste. Genevieve man was injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Route A at Zell Road in Ste. Genevieve County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:02 a.m. when a 2005 Buick LeSabre was traveling west on Route A toward Interstate 55.
Troopers reported the vehicle crossed the centerline before leaving the left side of the roadway. The car traveled down an embankment, struck the ground, then hit another embankment, causing it to become slightly airborne. The vehicle then struck a utility pole and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels off the left side of the roadway, facing east.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.
The Buick sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
