Ste. Genevieve Man Seriously Injured in Interstate 55 Crash

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Ste. Genevieve man was seriously injured late Saturday night after his vehicle overturned on Interstate 55.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 11 p.m. at the 148-mile marker on southbound I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County. Troopers say the 40-year-old man was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right. The truck traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained serious injuries and was flown to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
