Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Ste. Genevieve R-II School District is celebrating one of its school leaders after Dr. Nanya Gegg was recognized as the 2026 Distinguished Principal for the Southeast Region by the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals.
Dr. Gegg received the honor during the 2026 MAESP Leadership Conference held last weekend in Osage Beach. The event brought together principals from across Missouri to recognize excellence and leadership in education.
District officials say the recognition reflects Dr. Gegg’s strong commitment to students, staff, and families in the Ste. Genevieve school community. Her leadership is credited with helping create a positive learning environment where students and educators can work together, grow, and succeed.
