St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 16-year-old Fredericktown girl was injured Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on Route OO in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:21 p.m. on Route OO north of Old Fredericktown Road.
The patrol reports the teen was driving a 2023 Dodge Hornet northbound when she became distracted and failed to maintain her lane. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries. She was transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance District to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for treatment.
The Dodge Hornet was totaled in the crash and was removed from the scene.
