Texas Man Seriously Injured in St. Francois County Accident

(Farmington, Mo) A Texas man is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident, Monday morning, in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 67 at Route DD, south of Farmington at 8:15 a.m. The report says that 31 year old Bradley J. Besemer, of Farmington, was traveling westbound in a truck, crossing the highway, and failed to observe a car in the southbound lanes of Highway 67, driven by 33 year old Najee D. Burns, of San Antonio, Tx. Burns' car hit the truck. Burns was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Air Evac for treatment of his injuries, while Besemer was not injured.

The car was listed as totaled and the truck received extensive damage. Both were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident.

The highway was shutdown for about an hour to land Air Evac and for crews to clean up the crash site.
