Jefferson City, Mo (KFMO) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol welcomed 28 new troopers during a graduation ceremony held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy gymnasium in Jefferson City.
Members of the 123rd Recruit Class began their training on January 2 and will officially begin serving in their assigned troops on July 7.
The Honorable Kelly Broniec, Supreme Court of Missouri, administered the Oath of Office. Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey delivered the keynote address, and Colonel Michael A. Turner, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, also addressed the class.
Among the graduates were three recruits from the Parkland region:
- Trooper Matthew B. Momot of Farmington, assigned to Zone 13 in Jefferson County
- Trooper Rothman R. Harris III of Farmington, assigned to Zone 16 in Ste. Genevieve and Perry counties
- Trooper Tyler M. Deering of Park Hills, assigned to Zone 12 in Madison and Iron counties
The Patrol says these new troopers will now begin their field training as they prepare to serve and protect communities across Missouri.
