Three-Vehicle Crash on Route 8 Injures Four Tuesday Morning

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A three-vehicle crash on Missouri Route 8 at Stoney Point Road in Washington County left four people injured Tuesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 7:15 a.m. when an eastbound 2010 Nissan Altima failed to stop and struck the rear of a 2015 Kia Forte that was stopped in traffic. The impact pushed the Kia into the rear of a westbound 2014 Ford Focus. Troopers say the driver of the Altima, a 33-year-old man from Park Hills, was not injured, but a one-year-old male passenger received minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Parkland Health Center in Farmington. The driver of the Forte, a 24-year-old man from Cadet, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital. A 21-year-old female passenger in the Kia sustained minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital. The driver of the Ford Focus, a 23-year-old man from Fredericktown, had minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by ambulance.

All three vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene. The Patrol reports that two of the injured individuals were wearing safety devices, while two were not.
