Tiny Home Destroyed in Holiday Shores Fire; Resident Displaced

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A residential structure fire destroyed a tiny home in the Holiday Shores area early Sunday morning.

The Bismarck Fire Protection District was dispatched by St. Francois County 911 at approximately 7:30 a.m. on January 18 to a reported structure fire on Sycamore Drive in Holiday Shores. Crews arrived on scene to find a single-story tiny home, described as a cabin, fully involved in flames with nearby exposures on three sides. Firefighters deployed attack lines and were able to bring the fire under control and extinguish it. No injuries were reported.

Bismarck firefighters were assisted at the scene by the Leadwood Fire Protection District, Leadington Fire Department, Farmington Fire Department, Caledonia Fire Protection District, and the Belgrade Fire Department.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
