Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A traffic stop conducted by the Ste. Genevieve Police Department during the late evening hours of May 26, 2026 resulted in the arrest of a man on multiple drug-related charges.
According to police, an officer initiated a traffic stop that led to an investigation during which authorities allegedly discovered suspected fentanyl and suspected methamphetamine.
Following the traffic stop and a subsequent investigation at the county jail, officers arrested Melvin Bardo.
Bardo has been charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Introduction of a Controlled Substance into a County Jail, and Possession of a Controlled Substance
