House Springs, Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 52-year-old Farmington man and a 41-year-old Festus woman in connection with a stolen debit card and suspected drug possession in House Springs.
Deputies were called to the Buchheit store on Gravois Road on August 9 after a woman reported her stolen debit card had been used there. Surveillance video showed the Farmington man arriving on a bicycle with the woman and attempting to buy a generator. When the card was declined, he allegedly purchased a Marine battery and lighters instead. A deputy later located the pair across the street at a gas station, where the stolen items were found in the man’s bicycle basket. The debit card itself was not recovered. A search of the woman’s purse reportedly turned up suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects were released at the scene pending charges, their names have not been released.
