Two from Fisk Injured in U.S. 67 Crash Near Bonne Terre

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two people from Fisk were injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 67 in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m., about a quarter mile north of Blomeier Road. Troopers say a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 61-year-old man from Fisk traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a tree after he suffered a medical emergency.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. A 65-year-old woman, also from Fisk, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital. 

Troopers report that neither occupant was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
