Two Homes Destroyed in Washington County Fire on Highway DD

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A structure fire in Washington County destroyed a tiny home and a nearby mobile home Sunday afternoon, but no injuries were reported.

According to information released by the Belgrade Volunteer Fire Department, emergency crews were dispatched on March 22, 2026, at approximately 3:18 p.m. to a reported structure fire at 10600 State Highway DD.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a tiny home fully engulfed in flames. The fire had also spread to a nearby mobile home, and both structures were fully involved at the time crews arrived.

Firefighters worked to quickly contain the blaze and stop it from spreading to surrounding properties. Officials said the coordinated response from multiple agencies helped keep the fire confined to the two affected structures.

All occupants were able to safely evacuate before emergency crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
