St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route D and Route O in St. Francois County Tuesday morning sent two Bonne Terre residents to area hospitals.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 9:49 a.m. on June 2, 2026. Troopers report that a 2015 Ford C-Max was traveling northbound when the driver failed to yield to a southbound 2021 Acura TLX.
The patrol says the front of the Ford struck the front of the Acura, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
The 73-year-old Bonne Terre man driving the Ford suffered minor injuries and was transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance District to Parkland Health Center.
A 75-year-old female passenger in the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
The driver of the Acura, a 35-year-old man from Sedgewickville, was not reported injured.
Both vehicles were totaled in the collision and were removed from the scene.
