Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two people from Florida were seriously hurt in a Saturday morning crash in Washington County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 11:10 a.m. on November 15 at Missouri 21 and Dart Road. Troopers say a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Sonic driven by a 23-year-old woman from Bonne Terre struck the rear of a 2019 Can-Am Defender. The impact caused the Can-Am to run off the roadway and overturn. Both the 47-year-old male driver and a 36-year-old female passenger from Lakeland, Florida, were totally ejected from the vehicle. The driver suffered serious injuries, while the passenger sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. The Sonic’s driver was not reported injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The Patrol reports that the Can-Am occupants were not using safety devices at the time of the crash.
