Unitec Career Center Hosts Career Interview Day to Prepare Students for Workforce

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - Students at Unitec Career Center in Bonne Terre took an important step toward their future careers Thursday, participating in a Career Interview Day designed to give them real-world job experience.

Adult Education Supervisor Jen Woolard says the event is focused on helping students build confidence and develop practical interview skills that will benefit them as they enter the workforce.

Students didn’t walk into the event unprepared. Woolard says they have been working toward this opportunity since last semester, practicing resumes, interview techniques, and professional communication.

Following the event, Woolard says feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. Many participants expressed increased confidence and a better understanding of what to expect in real job interviews.

Career Interview Day is part of Unitec’s ongoing efforts to ensure students are career-ready and equipped with the skills needed to succeed beyond the classroom.
