Vehicle Fire at Desloge Walmart Followed by Weather-Related Power Line Issue

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - The Desloge Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at the Desloge Walmart Friday morning, followed shortly afterward by a call involving downed power lines in Desloge.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Walmart at approximately 10:33 a.m. Friday, July 31, for a reported vehicle fire.

There were no reported injuries. The cause of the vehicle fire is currently unknown.

Shortly after responding to the Walmart, the Desloge Fire Department was called to the 3300 block of Cedar Run Road for reports of downed power lines.

Firefighters remained on scene, because of smoke coming from a transformer, until Ameren Missouri arrived to address the power lines. The downed lines were determined to be weather-related.

No additional injuries were reported in connection with the incidents.
