Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Robert Silvey Department of Veterans Affairs clinic in Farmington will host a Veterans Resource Fair later this month, giving Veterans, their families and caregivers an opportunity to learn more about the health care programs and services available through the VA.
The event will take place Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 416, 1604 West Columbia Street in Farmington, adjacent to the VA clinic.
Representatives from a variety of VA programs and services will be available to provide information and answer questions. Areas represented at the fair will include the Caregiver Support Program, Veterans Homeless Program, Suicide Prevention, Voluntary Services, Enrollment and Eligibility, Care in the Community, Women’s Health, Telehealth and Whole Health, among others.
Veterans will also have access to pneumonia and RSV vaccines at no charge during the event.
The resource fair is intended to help Veterans better understand the many VA health programs and services they may be eligible to receive and provide an opportunity to speak directly with representatives about available resources.
All Veterans, along with their families and caregivers, are invited to attend. There is no cost to participate.
