Warrant Wednesday Program Showing Strong Results in St. Francois County

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff's Department continues to see success through its Warrant Wednesday Program, aimed at locating individuals with active warrants.

Sheriff Jeff Crites says the program is designed to involve the community by sharing information about wanted individuals and encouraging tips that help deputies take offenders into custody.

According to the department, 47 offenders were highlighted through the program in 2025. With strong community engagement, 37 of those individuals were successfully located and arrested, resulting in an 88 percent success rate.

Sheriff Crites notes that despite the program’s success, there are still more than 2,500 active warrants in St. Francois County, and the department plans to continue Warrant Wednesday efforts to improve public safety and accountability.
