Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Washington County man has pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing illegal firearms.
Prosecutors say 52-year-old Gordon Lee Smith admitted to one count of possession of unregistered firearms after authorities discovered he was illegally in possession of five machine guns and seven silencers. Smith entered the guilty plea and now faces a sentence of up to 10 years in federal prison.
A sentencing date has not yet been announced.
