Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was kept busy over the Labor Day holiday weekend, responding to 181 calls for service between midnight on Friday, August 29, and 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The activity led to 12 arrests during the four-day period. Sheriff’s officials note that the calls were managed by only two road deputies on each 12-hour shift. The calls for service covered a wide range of incidents, including motor vehicle accidents, attempts to arrest individuals with active warrants, disturbances, suicidal subjects, trespassing, sexual assault, and general requests to speak with a deputy.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents that despite limited staffing, deputies remain committed to protecting and serving the community during both routine and high-demand times.
