Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Residents in the area of Ste. Genevieve Avenue and Fleming Avenue in Farmington will experience a scheduled water outage on Wednesday, April 22, as crews complete a water main project.
According to city officials, the outage is expected to begin around 8 a.m. and last until approximately 3 p.m. The work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements along Ste. Genevieve Avenue.
Customers in the affected area are advised to prepare in advance by storing water if needed during the outage window.
After service is restored, residents may notice sputtering faucets or cloudy water. Officials say this is normal and caused by trapped air in the water lines. Running water for a few minutes should resolve the issue.
Drivers in the area should also be aware of possible work activity and plan accordingly.
