St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Wolf Creek Fire Protection District handled a total of 517 calls for service in 2025, highlighting the wide range of emergencies and service calls responded to by firefighters throughout the year.
According to the district’s annual call volume summary, motor vehicle accidents accounted for a significant portion of responses, with 86 calls involving crashes of all types. Residential fires were also a major category, totaling 79 calls, while firefighters responded to 58 brush fires during the year. The district handled 33 fire alarm calls, 27 commercial fires, and 22 fire investigations.
Emergency medical-related responses included 41 calls for unconscious persons, strokes, or seizures, along with eight overdose or poisoning incidents. Additional calls for service included 34 power line incidents, 11 rescue calls, and nine vehicle fires. The largest category, listed as other medical and service calls, totaled 109 responses, underscoring the diverse needs of the community.
Wolf Creek Fire Protection District officials say the numbers reflect the broad scope of both emergency and non-emergency services provided throughout 2025, reaffirming the district’s ongoing commitment to protecting life, property, and the community it serves.
