St. Francois County, Mo. (KFMO) - The Labor Day holiday is this weekend, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is preparing for an increase in traffic across the state.
Corporal Dallas Thompson says troopers will be out in full force monitoring roadways.
Thompson notes the heaviest traffic is expected on Sunday and Monday, as many travelers head home from holiday destinations.
The Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and never drive impaired.
