Madison County Authorities Seek Information on Yellow Ford Mustang in Ongoing Investigation

Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Fredericktown Police Department are asking for the public’s help as they continue investigating a suspicious incident that has been circulating on social media.

According to authorities, photos have been released of a late-model yellow Ford Mustang that may have been involved in the incident or may have information pertinent to the ongoing investigation. Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle to come forward.

Law enforcement agencies responded Friday after receiving a report related to the suspicious incident. During that response, deputies also made an arrest on an outstanding warrant involving a registered sex offender in the area. Investigators now believe that arrest was unrelated to the original report.

Officials say the investigation remains active as deputies continue following up on leads and working to determine the facts surrounding the initial incident.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is also urging the public to avoid speculation while the investigation is ongoing.
