Polls show Republican Jack Ciattarelli has closed in on Democrat Mikie Sherrill since the start of September in the race for New Jersey governor. Sherrill is a former Navy officer and was elected as a New Jersey congresswoman in 2018. Ciattarelli is a former state assemblyman and this is his third attempt at becoming governor.
