Chiefs Offense Struggles in Super Bowl LIX

(New Orleans, LA) The Philadelphia Eagles captured their second Super Bowl championship since 2018 Sunday night beating the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

The Eagles defense pressured Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs all game. Mahomes was sacked six times in the game and threw two interceptions that both resulted in points against. One a pick-6, the other set up an Eagles touchdown.

Philadelphia led at halftime 24-0 because of the stellar defense. Kansas City was held to just 23 total yards from scrimmage in the opening half.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts passed for two touchdowns and 221 total yards. He added a rushing touchdown and was named Super Bowl LIX MVP. DeVonte Smith and AJ Brown had the receiving touchdowns, while Cooper DeJean was a recipient of an errant Mahomes throw for the early pick-6.

The Chiefs finish the season as the AFC Champions, AFC West Division Champions and Super Bowl LIX runners-up.
