Cape Girardeau, Mo. (KFMO) – A 14-point first quarter propelled the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks to an early lead that they never relinquished in the 28-12 win over Tennessee State on Saturday.
Quarterback Johnny Webber completed 24-of-39 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Epton Jr. found the end zone twice on the ground and Cole Ruble rushed for 93 yards on 12 attempts. Kalvin Gilbert and Donnie Cheers had receiving touchdowns.
SEMO (2-4) hosts Eastern Illinois on Saturday at 2pm.
