Columbia, Mo. (KFMO) – The No. 14-Missouri Tigers suffer first loss of the season on Saturday to No. 8-Alabama.
Missouri scored first when Beau Pribula found Brett Norfleet for a 26 yard touchdown. Alabama stormed back with a pair of passing touchdowns and a field goal.
The Tigers trailed 17-10 at halftime after Robert Meyer hit a 35-yard field goal as time expired.
Early in the third Pribula found the end zone after a five-yard scramble but Alabama answered with a field goal of their own to lead 20-17 after three quarters.
It would stay a three-point game until the Crimson Tide collected another passing touchdown and point after to lead by ten.
MIZZOU began the comeback attempt a minute and a half later as Pribula connected with Donovan Olugbode for a short touchdown pass.
After failing to recover an onside kick, the Tigers defense stood strong and to get the ball back. Although Missouri struggled to put anything together on the ensuing drive. Pribula again connected with Olugbode for the only first down of the drive, but would eventually overshoot an intended target resulting in an interception.
Missouri (5-1) play at Auburn on Saturday.
