Farmington Knights Smack 4 Homers, Route Fredericktown Lady Blackcats 13-3

(Fredericktown, MO) The Farmington Knights use the long ball to defeat the Fredericktown Lady Blackcats and erase one run deficits twice on Monday. Emilee Gillam punctuated an explosive 5 run 6th inning with a go-ahead pinch hit grand slam.

Farmington Head Coach, Allison Pingel, says Gillam has been working hard and earned the opportunity to bat with the bases loaded.

Fredericktown began the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd when Michaela Reagan laced an RBI double to right-center field that scored Allie Bloom. The Knights erased the lead in the next half inning on back-to-back two out homeruns from Elly Robbins and Jayce Jarvis.

The Lady Blackcats tied the game up in the bottom of the 5th inning when Calie Allgier lifted a fly ball to left field that wasn’t caught, allowing Jonsyn Rehkop to score.

Sadie Gibson RBI double regained the Fredericktown advantage, 3-2, 6 pitches later scoring Allgier from second.

The long 6th inning began when Jayden Tucker launched a solo shot to left field tying the game at 3-all.

Farmington would add 6 more runs in the top of the 7th when they brought 12 batters to the dish.

After the defeat, Fredericktown Head Coach, Miriah Allgier, says it was a matter of time before the Farmington bats came to life.
