FB, Week 6: Valle Catholic Warriors Offense, led by Grant Fallert's 6 Touchdowns, Prevails Over Central Rebels in Park Hills

(Park Hills, MO) Quarterback, Grant Fallert led the Valle Catholic Warriors to a 48-34 victory over the Central Rebels in Week 6 of the high school football season on Friday night.

Fallert tied a Valle Catholic school record scoring six touchdowns in the win. Alex Viox collected the other touchdown scored by the Valle offense on the ground.

The Warriors needed just two plays to score on the opening drive of the game, 31 seconds in to the match. Fallert tallied his first rushing touchdown of 43 yards to open the scoring, then did it again 21 seconds later after the Valle Defense forced a turnover, intercepting Central’s Jobe Bryant’s first pass attempt. Fallert would go to the ground for his second rushing touchdown after the turnover.

Central got on the board under 50 seconds after the second Valle score. Braydon Berry would pull in an 84 yard reception, ending the play in the end zone.

Fallert found his way to the end zone with 1:51 left in the first quarter. Valle’s Wil Kuehn made all three PATs in the first quarter, and six of seven attempted in the game.

The second quarter begin the same way the first did: A Grant Fallert rushing touchdown 31 seconds in to the quarter, and Alex Viox punched another one in on the ground a minute shy of the halfway point of the quarter, 35-6.

The depleted Central roster gained one of their two star two-way players who missed Week 5 in Ste. Genevieve. Kannon Harlow was inserted into the lineup for the big Week 6 bought with Valle.

He left his mark on the game with 2 scoring receptions, one at the 6:20 mark of the second quarter for 80 yards, and the other for 43 yards nearly four minutes later.

Bryant reached the end zone for the first time on the ground, which began the scoring in the third with 5:33 left after a 7-yard carry. His second would come as the final score of the game when he rushed from 15-yards out.

Fallert’s sixth rushing touchdown came 20 seconds after Bryant’s first rushing score. Fallert cleared the Central defense on an 85 yard quarterback keep.

Fallert ended the night with 241 rushing yards on 21 carries. He collected 179 passing yards, and completed 7 of 12 attempts. Viox ran for 97 yards on 14 attempts. Tyler Gegg collected 90 receiving yards on 4 targets.

Bryant completed 25 passes of the 46 attempted, for 412 yards. He threw two interceptions and three touchdowns. He added 2 scored on the ground for 121 yards on 16 carries.

Braydon Berry totaled 176 yards on 9 receptions, while Kannon Harlow was targeted 6 times for 155 yards.

Valle Catholic Head Coach, Judd Naeger, earned his 175th win as Warriors coach. He says Central is a good football team.

Central Head Coach, Kory Schweiss, says his team and staff have a lot of work to do.

Valle Catholic is 5-1 on the season and face the Ste. Genevieve Dragons this Friday. Central falls to 3-3 and host Fredericktown in Week 7. The Rebels have lost three straight for the first time since 2011.
