Former North County Raider, Aaron Moser, Inducted Into University of Miami Hall of Fame

(Coral Gables, FL) Officials with the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame and Museum inducted the 2023 Hall of Fame Class that featured the Parkland's own Aaron Moser.

Moser, a graduate of North County High School class of 1997 and duel sport athlete at the University of Miami from 1997-2002, was a member of the football Hurricanes, and Track & Field team. 

At North County, Moser played Football, Basketball, and ran Track.

Moser says he was excited when he learned of his inductance.

The Former Raider was inducted Thursday, May 4th as a member of the Track and Field organization. While at the University of Miami, Moser won three consecutive BIG EAST outdoor decathlon championships from 1998-2000. He was a two-time BIG EAST indoor heptathlon in 1999 and 2000. Moser was an All-American in the decathlon after he finished 9th in the NCAA Track & Field Championships.

Along with the Track and Field accolades as a Hurricane, Moser lettered three years in football and was named the team's Special Teams Player of the Year in 1999 and 2000.

Moser missed the 2001 Track and Field season due to injury. He made his return in 2002 and set then-NCAA records in the 60-meter dash in the pentathlon and 100-meter dash in the decathlon. Moser finished 2nd in the heptathlon at the 2002 USA Men's Indoor Heptathlon Championships.

Moser currently holds records for most points in the indoor pentathlon (3,643), indoor heptathlon (5,720), and outdoor decathlon (7,423), also a BIG EAST record.

At North County, he was selected to the MAAA All-Conference three times and led the Raider Football team to three MAAA Conference Championships.

Moser played varsity basketball three seasons at North County where the team won multiple Conference, District and Christmas Tournament titles. In 1995 he set a school record at the free throw line making 94% from the stripe.

With the North County Track & Field team, Moser earned multiple state and conference championships and was the National High School Champion in the Decathlon. He was named a member of the 1996 All American High School track team by Reebok.

Moser represented North County High School along with Shana Sieve by running the Olympic Torch for the 1996 summer games.

Moser resides in Colorado with his wife, Deepika and daughter Marikh.
