Kingston Powers Past St. Paul 77-49, Three Players Earn Double-Doubles

(Farmington, MO) Cody Yates and Corey Kemper contribute double-double performances to lead the Kingston Cougars to a 77-49 win over the St. Paul Giants.

Cody Yates had 24 points and 10 rebounds. He was 11-of-16 from the field. Kemper added 17 points and 10 rebounds as well. Kingston Coach Paul Hamilton on the growth from his top scorers.

As a team the Cougars outrebounded the Gianst 36-24 and the scoring from the bench favored Kingston 26-9. 

Coach Hamilton was not too pleased with his teams defense in the 73-70 overtime win over Fredericktown on Monday, did he like the defensive effort in Thursday's win?

Kingston hit 36-of-61 shots and 18-of-34 shots in the second half. Coach Hamilton on the second half shooting from the offense.

St. Paul was led in scoring by Devontae Minor with 24 points, while William Folk was in double-double territory with 10 points and 10 rebounds. After the loss, Giants Head Coach Justin Ford.

Brendan Yates added 10 points in the 4th quarter on 5 fieldgoals in the winning effort. The Cougars improve to 5-1 and return home to play Herculaneum Tuesday, while St. Paul travels to Ellington tonight. The Giants are 1-4 on the season.
