Clarksville, Tn. (KFMO) – 14-seed Mineral Area Lady Cardinals reverse sweep 13-seed Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters in the NJCAA 9th Place Game on Saturday, 27-29, 11-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-5.
Lara Gilardi wrapped up the four game stretch with 57 total kills, 10 blocks, and a pair of aces. She was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team. Gabrielle Damborowiski had 44 kills, six aces, and three blocks in the tournament.
The Lady Cardinals lost in the first round to 3-seed Florida Southwestern and fell to the Consolation Bracket before back-to-back straight set wins over 11-Frank Phillips, and 15-Casper to reach the 9th Place Game.
Mineral Area concludes the season with a record of 30-3.
