Malevy Leons Signs With Oklahoma City Thunder

A former Mineral Area Community College standout has signed a contract with an NBA team.

Bradley University’s Malevy Leons has signed an exhibit 10 contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 6'10" forward played three seasons for the Braves, but before heading to Peoria, he played at Mineral Area, where he was named the National Junior College Player of the Year in 2021. He helped lead the Cardinals to a 20-0 record, claiming the Region 16 championship. The Cardinals then earned its first ever victory at the NJCAA tournament, advancing to the Elite 8.

An exhibit 10 contact allows the NBA team to convert the player’s 1-year deal into a two-way contract, allowing them to move between the main NBA team and the team’s G-League affiliate.
