Mason Williams Becomes First Player on Mineral Area 2023-24 MBB Roster

(Park Hills, MO) Mason Williams made it official Friday morning, signing his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Mineral Area College.

Williams will join the Men's Basketball Program as the first official player on the MAC roster under new Head Coach Greg Heiar. Williams says he is excited to join the same college his father played at.

Coach Heiar has officially begun filling the roster with today's signing. Heiar was hired just 6 days prior. He says the process was very fast.

Heiar adds Mason Williams has all the qualities, he looks for in a succesful player.

Williams's cousin, Cameron Williams recently signed his NLI with Moberly, MAC's Region 16 Rival. Mason Williams says it will be similar, yet different playing his cousin three or more times a season.

Williams graduated from Central High School in May and was on the varsity basketball roster all 4 years. Last season he helped the Rebels reach the Class 4 State Championship where they placed 2nd.

Williams averaged 9.9 points per game through 24 games. He made 40% of his field goals (81/203), 54% from the foul line (34/63) and totalled 77 rebounds in his senior season.
