Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Rolla Bulldogs spoiled Homecoming for the North County Raiders, running to a 42-14 victory Friday night.
Rolla (3-2) got the ball to begin the half, and embarked on a 6 minute drive to give themselves the lead. That lead would hold to the end of the game, but the Bulldogs added a few more touchdowns for good measure. That included a 95-yard kickoff return late in the first half following North County's (1-4) first and only touchdown of the first two quarters.
That dominince followed into the second half, with the Bulldogs even briefly holding a running clock in the fourth. A late Raider touchdown put a stop to that, but Rolla still took home a 28-point victory.
Rolla running back Colton Petersmith carried the ball 8 times for 74 yards and three scores, four including the kickoff return. North County quarterback Braydee McClure completed 18 of 26 passes for 136 yards and one interception. North County hosts Festus this Friday.
