Ryan Souden’s No-Hitter Leads Fredericktown to 15-0 Win Over Crystal City

Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) – Ryan Souden threw a four inning no-hitter and struck out 11 batters faced as the Fredericktown Blackcats beat the Crystal City Hornets 15-0 on Tuesday.

Souden began the game striking out the side in the top of the first. He added five straight strikeouts from the second to third inning, and struck out three more in the fourth.

The Blackcat bats were alive with 11 total hits including Souden’s two-run single in the second. Ethan Marler and Noah Brubacher each had two singles and three RBI in the victory.

Kaiden Thomas started for the Hornets and gets tagged with the loss after allowing 11 runs on six hits over 2.2 innings. He walked five and struck three batters out.

Fredericktown (2-2) will play Monday against Doniphan.
