Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The West County Bulldogs continued their reign of dominance on the diamond, capturing their third consecutive district title with an overwhelming 15-0 victory over third-seeded St. Pius. The top-seeded Bulldogs made quick work of their opponents, ending the game in just three innings.
The Bulldogs sent a staggering 16 batters to the plate in the first inning, putting the game out of reach before it had a chance to develop with an 11-run inning. The explosive offensive performance was highlighted by Bradey Buhrmester, who blasted a home run and went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBI. Brody Simily also shined at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI to lead the team’s relentless attack.
Simily allowed just one hit on the mound as well.
West County (25-2-1) play Valley Park for the third straight season in the Class 3 Quarterfinal on Tuesday. Coverage on KFMO begins at 3:30pm.
