St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Louis Battlehawks got a measure of revenge over Arlington on Friday, taking down the Renegades 12-6.
In a stark contrast to the first meeting between the Battlehawks (4-2) and the Renegades (3-3), this one was a low-scoring affair. St. Louis put the first points on the board, but not until its seventh drive of the game. Quarterback Max Duggan connected with wide receiver Hakeem Butler for a 30-yard score to make it 6-0.
That'd prove to be the only touchdown of the game. A St. Louis field goal from 48-yards out made the score 9-0 as time expired in the first half.
Arlington finally picked up their first points on the first play of the fourth quarter, a 46-yard field goal to make it 9-3. After a Battlehawks turnover, the Renegades kicked another field goal to make it 9-6. However, St. Louis locked down Arlington the rest of the way, and added another 53-yard field goal to ultimately win 12-6.
St. Louis is on the road next week, traveling to Memphis to take on the Showboats. The game will air at 2PM Sunday on ESPN.
